ETPB retrieves 64-kanal land worth Rs 1024m

LAHORE: The Evacuee Trust Property Board’s (ETPB) successful operation against illegal occupants in Nankana Sahib resulted in retrieval of about 64 kanals of land worth Rs 1,024 million at a prime location.

The operation was launched in the light of orders of Dr. Shoaib Sidal, chairman of the one-man commission established by the Supreme Court.

Secretary Board Farid Iqbal, along with DCO Nankana Chaudhry Arshad, DSP Mohammad Tariq Administrator Tanveer, Deputy Administrator Fazlur Rehman Butt, Security Fazal Rabi and other staffs, along with the land owned by the ETPB located at the prime location of Nankana Sahib.

The value of which is more than 1024 million rupees has been transferred and deployed the security personnel after obtaining the possession. During the operation, there was severe protest from the occupying groups, the security staff of the board and the police took full action to stop the protesting by the occupying groups and they were dispersed.

y a successful operation has been carried out in Bachiana Road, Bypass Road, Dolar Chowk Nankana and possession has been obtained by demolishing constructions on valuable land. He said that departmental actions are being taken against illegal occupiers across the country in light of the instructions of Chairman Board Attaur Rehman, in this regard there will be no exception in the action against the occupying group. Lady police and ladies security guards performed their duty in the operation.
