Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab will also hoist the national flag at the ceremony to be held at the KMC head office on Independence Day.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab, on behalf of the citizens of Karachi, will also lay a wreath and offer prayers at the Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum on August 14.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Municipal Commissioner S.M. Afzal Zaidi, and other senior officials of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will accompany him.
On the directions of the Mayor Karachi, the KMC building has been illuminated and beautifully decorated with lights and national flags to celebrate Independence Day.
Later, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab will inaugurate a modern-style Funland at the Karachi Zoo and hoist the national flag at the zoo along with students from various schools.
