Lahore: Four more snakebite victims were successfully treated at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) in a timely manner, the hospital spokesperson said on Wednesday. According to the spokesperson, 14 snakebite victims have so far been administered anti-snake venom during the ongoing monsoon season. Several patients who were in critical condition showed significant improvement following timely treatment and the professional care provided by the hospital’s medical teams.
The victims treated at LGH had been brought from Khushab, Okara, Kasur and Lahore.
Principal Professor Dr Farooq Afzal appreciated the dedication and professional services of doctors and medical staff, saying that ensuring the best possible care for every patient remained the hospital’s foremost priority.
Medical Superintendent Professor Dr Faryad Hussain also appreciated Dr Anum Batool for maintaining a record of patients referred to the hospital. He said LGH was providing the best possible and timely medical facilities to patients in line with the Punjab government’s healthcare policy.
The hospital administration said snakebite victims were provided anti-snake venom promptly, along with all other necessary medical facilities, to ensure their proper treatment and recovery.
