ISLAMABAD: Dr Asif Mahmood Jah, Federal Tax Ombudsman Tuesday nominated Meher Kashif Younis as his honorary coordinator.
Kashif Younis is renowned industrialist and also former Senior Vice President Lahore Chamber if Commerce and Industry., said a press release.
According to notification his area of responsibility includes to serve as bridge between private sector and FTO office, develop and foster relationship of FTO office with stakeholders and such other entities.
The co-ordination with business tax payers individually or collectively, close effective liaison with local chamber, trade, markets associations and general trade bodies would be part of his responsibility.
The coordinator will also seek recommendations from business community regarding improvement and up gradation in existing tax laws, procedures and policies and positive representative of tax payers in addition to presenting tax payers problems, issues, conflicts and concerns to respective FTO Advisors and act as proactively for their immediate redressal.
Meher Kashif Younis expressing his gratitude to FTO for reposing confidence, assured that all out best possible hectic efforts will be made to make constitutional institution of FTO a real success by addressing the genuine grievances confronted by tax payers on top priority within maximum time span of 60 days.
