FUUAST celebrates Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremony


Islamabad: Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), celebrates Pakistan’s Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony held at Islamabad Campus.



Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari hoisted the national flag, while university security staff presented a salute to the national flag. Faculty members, administrative officers and other university officials were also present on the occasion.



Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the significance of the day and



unique beauty and diversity of Pakistan, saying that the country stretches from sea level to the towering heights of K2, with beautiful beaches, fertile plains and rich natural and cultural diversity.



He emphasized that youth are the country’s most valuable asset and advised them to work hard, acquire modern skills and embrace the latest technologies to contribute to the country’s prosperity.



‘Education is the only path through which we can acquire the latest skills and serve the country, enabling Pakistan to emerge among the leading nations in all fields,’ he said.



He called for integrity, hard work and good deeds to help the country overcome its challenges and move towards a better future.



The Vice Chancellor also urged university colleagues to leave past differences behind, forgive one another and work together with unity and dedication. He said collective efforts could help the university pass through difficult times and build a stronger and brighter future.



The ceremony concluded with prayers for the peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
