Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives and property caused by a devastating earthquake in Colombia.
The Chairman Senate said that the Parliament and people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with the people of Colombia in this hour of grief and tragedy.
He said that the people and Parliament of Pakistan share the sorrow of the Colombian people and are deeply saddened by the loss of precious human lives and extensive material damage caused by the natural disaster.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the earthquake and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
He expressed hope that the Government of Colombia and the relevant authorities would continue relief and rehabilitation efforts effectively and extend all possible assistance and support to those affected by the disaster.
