Gilgit: Like other parts of the country, Pakistan Day was celebrated in Gilgit Baltistan with traditional fervor.
The day began with a salute of 21 guns in the provincial capital Gilgit while recitation of Quran and prayers for the development of Pakistan were offered in all the mosques. In the context of Pakistan Day, various events were held across Gilgit-Baltistan at various political, social, military and governmental levels.
On the occasion of this day, a rally was taken out from Gilgit Ghari Bagh which ended at Ittehad Chowk. The participants of the rally carried placards and banners with slogans and writings on the occasion of Pakistan Zinda Bad and on the occasion of this day.
On the occasion of the same day, an important function was held at High School No. 1 Gilgit where the speakers lauded the sacrifices made for the attainment of Pakistan and urged every Pakistani to contribute more towards the stability and development of Pakistan.
