BAHAWALPUR: Official physiotherapist at Civil Hospital Bahawalpur, Dr. Tarique Malik has urged patients suffering from paralyze and bell’s palsy to avoid oil massage on body.
Talking to media persons here, Dr. Tarique Malik, who is an official physiotherapist at Sir Sadique Civil Hospital Bahawalpur said that oil massage on paralyzed body and bell’ palsy (One side of face paralyzed) was dangerous to human body.
‘Patients who have suffered stroke and their bodies have been paralyzed or they had suffered bell’s palsy, they must avoid getting oil massage on body,’ he advised.
He urged patients suffering from stroke or bell’s palsy to visit physiotherapist to get treatment instead using old methods,’ he said. ‘Physiotherapy helps in making a person healthy and physically fit if his or her body has been paralyzed or he or she has suffered bell’s palsy,’ he said.
He further said that physiotherapy also helped in treating several other diseases including joint pain, pain in knee, frozen shoulder, back pain and
others.
