ISLAMANBAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted one day more to submit details pertaining to the cases registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Secretary General Umar Ayub in Punjab.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, hearing the case, remarked that the petitioner was a political personality who was taking part in elections.
During the hearing, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad Police submitter their report pertaining to the cases against the PTI leader.
It was told that one case each was registered against the PTI leaders in KP and Islamabad. However, no report regarding cases in the Punjab province was submitted.
The court said that the petitioner had had expressed fear that he could be arrested at the time of submission of his nomination papers.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till Tuesday.
