Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday suspended the Pakistan Tibb Council’s decision, which has cancelled the registration of renowned herbal practitioner Hakim Shehzad and sought a response from the relevant authority.
Justice Muhammad Asif heard a petition filed by Hakim Shehzad challenging the cancellation of his registration.
Representing the petitioner, Advocate Sher Afzal Marwat argued before the court that the Tibb Council had revoked his client’s registration without providing an opportunity to be heard.
The counsel requested the court to set aside the council’s decision, contending that the action was unlawful and in violation of due process.
After preliminary arguments, the court suspended the decision regarding the cancellation of the petitioner’s registration until the next hearing and issued notices to the Pakistan Tibb Council, directing it to submit its reply.
The hearing was subsequently adjourned.
