In solidarity: students create human flag of Kashmir

Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:Over 1,000 students from different schools in Islamabad formed a human flag of Kashmir at Arts and Crafts Village on Thursday in connection with Kashmir Black Day being observed today to convey to the world that India had occupied their motherland illegally and against their aspirations.

It was on October 27th in 1947 when Indian troops in total violation of the spirit of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent had militarily invaded Jammu and Kashmir and illegally occupied it against the will of the Kashmiri people.

According to the focal person Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Dr. Abdullah Tabasim, different competitions among students of painting/sketching, elocution, and national song were held. Students of different schools also presented tableaus regarding Kashmir.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon speaking on the occasion paid tribute to Kashmiris for resistance against Indian subjugation.

He extended his gratitude to all the students who participated in the formation of the flag to express solidarity with Kashmiris and raise their voices.
