Lahore: Punjab Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani has said that industrial parks are being established across the province at a cost of Rs 65 billion.
He said this while chairing a meeting to review in detail the progress on the Agriculture and Livestock Departments regarding the establishment of industrial parks across Punjab here on Monday.
The minister said that in the first phase, industrial parks would be established in Sargodha, Bhakkar, Okara, Khanewal and Bahawalpur.
He stated, “The lists of companies interested in investing in the industrial parks are being finalized.” The relevant formations have been given a final deadline for completing the process of identifying land for the industrial parks, he added.
Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani further said that the relevant formations have also been assigned the task of conducting soil and water tests at the proposed sites of the industrial parks.
Punjabi Agriculture Secretary Shakeel Ahmad Mian briefed the meeting that the activities and progress of the Agriculture Department regarding the establishment of industrial parks are being regularly monitored.
