Sargodhga: An intercollegiate girls cricket tournament was organised by the Board of Education Sargodha at Tehsil Sports Complex Sargodha, in which teams from various colleges across the district participated enthusiastically.
The players demonstrated high skills, discipline and sportsmanship in the tournament. After thrilling competitions, Iqra Girls College secured the third position, while the final match was played between Superior College and Reader College.
The players of both the teams played brilliantly in the final match. Batting first, Spear College scored 158 runs in the allotted overs. Chasing the target, the Reader College team took to the field confidently and performed brilliantly to win the match by eight wickets.
After the victory, the Reader College students celebrated the winner’s trophy in the name of their chairman Shaukat Ali, dancing happily, congratulating each other and turning their success into memorable moments. On this occasion, Director Sports Education Board Sargodha Chaudhry Anis Sadiq Gujjar, Tehsil Sports Officer Azmat Iqbal, Muhammad Waqas Butt and Reader College Sports Incharge Junaid Khan were also present, who encouraged the players and appreciated the successful organization of the tournament.
