Kohat: Kohat Police on Saturday arrested a drug smuggler with 4,800kg of hashish while checking near the city gate.
Spokesman of Kohat police revealed that according to the clear policy of District Police Officer (DPO) Farkhan Khan, continuous crackdown on drugs was going on throughout the district which was yielding substantial results.
Consequently, the police foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs and arrested a drug dealer with 4,800 kg of hashish worth lakhs of rupees, which was being smuggled hidden inside the bags.
A successful operation was carried out by the local police under the leadership of SHO City Waqar Khan.
The case was registered against the smuggler, identified as Abdullah, a resident of Bannu who was caught in the operation. The accused confessed to his crime during preliminary interrogation.
