Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Adviser for Sports and Youth Affairs Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand has said that a series of mega sports events will be organised in the merged districts to promote sports among youth and provide emerging athletes with better opportunities.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Director Merged Districts Umar Arshad Khan here on Thursday, where preparations for the upcoming Under-19 Games, inter-school tournaments, women’s sports competitions and other events were discussed.
The meeting also reviewed measures to increase youth participation in sporting activities and promote sports in the merged districts.
The participants discussed ways to provide emerging talent with better facilities and opportunities to showcase their abilities through the upcoming competitions.
