Karachi: The Department of Sociology of the University of Karachi and the Urban Resource Centre signed a memorandum of understanding through which 30 students would get internships for one semester.
The MoU aims to address civic issues, joint community research, and advocacy about urban policy, student development, and mainly bridging the gap between academia and practical urban field realities.
The KU Director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization Professor Dr Naeem Khan, and the acting Director URC Seema Liaquat inked the MoU documents on Thursday.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the KU Vice Secretariat. The faculty members, ORIC team, and URC representatives were present on this occasion.
