ISLAMABAD:A labourer was killed, and two others sustained injuries when an under-construction wall collapsed in Sahiwal on Wednesday.
According to rescue sources, the wall collapsed during construction, trapping the workers under the debris, a local news channel reported.
Rescue teams rushed to the site and launched a rescue operation, retrieving the victims from beneath the debris.
The injured were provided with first aid on the spot before being shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Taking notice of the incident, Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal warned that strict action would be taken against those failing to ensure necessary safety measures at construction sites.
