LESCO collects over Rs 6.28m from 104 defaulters in 24 hours

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has recovered more than Rs 6.28 million from 104 dead defaulters in all the five districts- Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara- on the 272nd day of its recovery campaign.

A LESCO spokesman told media here Friday that on the 272nd day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar has recovered outstanding dues of Rs 1.59 million from 16 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 0.46 million from 14 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE (Central Circle) Shabbir recovered Rs 1.47 million from 20 defaulters; SE (South Circle) Zafarullah Sanghi collected Rs 0.62 million from 16 defaulters; SE (Nankana Circle) Muhammad Hussain recovered Rs 0.54 million from 09 defaulters; SE (Sheikhupura Circle) Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 0.45 million from 06 defaulters; SE (Okara Circle) collected Rs 0.36 million from 10 defaulters and SE (Kasur Circle) Ahmad Shahzad Chughtai recovered Rs 0.79 million from 13 defaulters in Kasur Circle.

During the 272
days of anti-power theft campaign under the supervision of Director (Customer Services) Sarwar Mughal, the spokesman added, the company recovered more than Rs 3.35 billion outstanding dues from 108,488 dead defaulters. He elaborated that up till now the company has collected Rs 484.88 million from 15,684 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 739.06 million from 14,336 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 487.90 million from 12,537 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 181.29 million from 6,587 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 276.17 million from 9,575 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 479.06 million from 12,660 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 217.54 million from 16,960 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 486.78 million from 20,149 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
