Livestock Department urges farmers to clear Phase 1 dues

Sargodha: Deputy Director Livestock Sargodha Dr Naila on Sunday urged cattle breeders to immediately settle their outstanding dues from the first phase of the Livestock Card scheme at the Bank of Punjab to qualify for the upcoming second phase of the program.



Speaking to a group of farmers, she stated that the Punjab government was finalizing preparations for the launch of Livestock Card Phase 2, and only those individuals who had timely repaid their Phase 1 loans would be eligible for the new scheme.



She stressed that defaulters must fulfill their financial obligations before they could benefit from further government initiatives. Dr Naila explained that the Livestock Card program aimed to provide easy financial facilities for fodder, concentrated feed, vaccines, and other essential expenditures to boost milk and meat production while strengthening the regional rural economy of Sargodha.



The Deputy Director livestock warned that defaulting farmers would not only be deprived of the Livestock Card facility but could also face difficulties in accessing future financial support programs.



She advised all livestock owners to contact the district livestock offices or the official helpline at 08000-9211 for additional information and guidance.
