Pera Force warns action for overpricing of LPG

Bahawalpur: PERA Force Bahawalpur has warned traders and shopkeepers of stern legal action if they were found involved in overpricing of LPG in the district. According to official sources, Mujtaba Manzoor, SDO Pera force and Special Magistrate of the Price Control Committee, urged the citizens to immediately lodge a complaint with the Pera Force, if any trader was found selling essential commodities or LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) above the officially notified rates, so that prompt action could be taken against profiteers. He further stated that residents of Bahawalpur could visit his office directly to lodge any complaint regarding overpricing or related issues, assuring that all complaints would be addressed promptly and appropriate action would be taken. ‘Compliance with government directives is our top priority and overpricing of essential commodities and LPG is unacceptable,’ he said. He stated that ensuring the implementation of Punjab government’s directives was the department’s foremost priority. He
said that, under the instructions of the Punjab government, the Pera Force, in coordination with the district administration, was making every effort to ensure the availability of essential commodities at the official prices listed by the district administration.
