FAISALABAD: A man was shot dead over dogfight dispute in the area of City Jaranwala police station.
A police spokesman said here on Saturday that two pet dogs of Hafeez-ur-Rehman and Sanaullah barked and attacked each other in Chak No. 128-GB, which enraged their owners too.
The owners exchanged hot words with each during which Sanaullah opened fire and injured Hafeez-ur-Rehman seriously. The injured was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to his wounds on the way.
The police took the body into custody and shifted it to mortuary for postmortem, while further investigation was under progress to arrest the accused, who managed to escape from the scene after firing.
