Peshawar::Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, has announced the results of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT), with an overall success ratio of 66 percent.
A total of 38,845 candidates applied for MDCAT 2026, while 37,747 candidates appeared in the examination conducted by KMU across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to results, Muhammad Hassan, Roll No. 6750428, secured the first position by obtaining 180 out of 180 marks.
Shariq Noor secured the second position with 179 marks, while Muhammad Mujeeb, Roll No. 6510435, secured the third position, also obtaining 179 marks. The results further show that 1,926 candidates obtained marks ranging from 170 to 180.
As per the applicable admission criteria, candidates securing 55 percent or above marks in MDCAT are eligible to apply for admission to MBBS, while those securing 50 percent or above are eligible to apply for BDS.
However, admission will be subject to the prescribed rules, merit, eligibility requirements and availability of seats.
KMU stated that the results were compiled and finalized in accordance with the prescribed examination and result-processing procedures. Candidates can check their results and download their result cards through the official KMU MDCAT portal.
The University appreciated the cooperation and support extended by the concerned government departments, district administrations, police, examination staff and all other stakeholders for the successful conduct of MDCAT 2026.
KMU congratulated all successful candidates and wished them success in their future academic pursuits.
