Lahore: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said on Thursday
the day of the arrival of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was the best
day in the history of humankind.
He was addressing a Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) gathering organised by the PU Milad
Committee at the Law College Auditorium here. Principal PULC Prof. Dr. Aman Ullah
Malik, Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, Treasurer Tasneem Kamran, Controller of
Examinations Muhammad Rauf Nawaz, prominent religious scholar Prof. Dr. Mujahid,
Chairman Milad Committee Sanaullah Shah, Muhammad Akram Joiya, and a large
number of university employees were present.
In his address, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said the world’s laws and systems
owe a great deal to the teachings and guidance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said that for a true lover of the holy Prophet (PBUH), it was essential to follow
his teachings. He emphasised that success in this world and the Hereafter lies
in adopting piety and God-consciousness.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said t
hat the Holy Prophet (PBUH) rendered such immense
services to humanity that words would fall short in attempting to enumerate his blessings
and contributions. He said: ” We should follow the Prophet’s (PBUH) exemplary way
of life (Uswa-e-Hasana) and treat one another with respect and dignity”.
He eulogized the members of the Milad Committee, Naat reciters, and speakers for
organizing an excellent gathering and reaffirmed the commitment to continue holding
such events in the future.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Mujahid said the life, character, and teachings
of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are a means to our success. He said that the Prophet’s (PBUH)
arrival brought the world out of the darkness of ignorance and illuminated it with the
light of knowledge.
He further said the arrival of Holy Prophet (PBUH) brought civilization and awareness
to the world. He noted that the Prophet (PBUH) treated not only Muslims but also non-Muslims
with kindness and respect. He emphasized the need for the Muslim
Ummah to remain
united rather than divided.
