KOHAT :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Finance, Revenue, Excise Taxation, and Narcotics Control in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ahmad Rasool Bangash on Thursday pledged to foster higher education in Kohat Division through the establishment of Kohat FACHHOCHSCHULE University, following the model of Haripur FACHHOCHSCHULE University.
Speaking at a high-level meeting on the Kohat Division Development Project, the minister said the university would help provide enhanced educational opportunities to local students.
This meeting, attended by Project Director Habibullah Khan and senior officials, included a detailed briefing on the Kohat Division Development Project, ongoing schemes, and the project’s work plan.
The minister emphasized on efforts to secure funds for scholarships for students in Kohat Division and to distribute shares of oil and gas royalty funds equitably among all districts in the division.
In addition, the caretaker minister committed to addressing contractor-related issues with practical ef
forts and affirmed the dedication to resolving challenges faced by the project.
Minister Bangash directed the Kohat Division Development Project to liaise with the Election Commission, submitting a note through the KP Chief Secretary to expedite the release of oil and gas royalty funds under the District Development Plan.
He assured pragmatic steps to unlock the oil and gas royalty fund for Kohat Division under the district development plan.
