MULTAN:A delegation of Muhammad Nawaz Shar Agriculture University Multan, led by Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, Director of the Institute of Plant Protection, visited Senegal for joint collaboration with Université Africaine des Science et Technologies, Senegal (EMIA).
A spokespon for MNSUA said on Sunday that the Pakistani team, including Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Prof. Samah Ashfaq, Dr Kashif Razzaq, and Dr. Abid Hussain, participated in the 4th Agriculture Conference themed “Mango Economy.”
Ambassador Saima Sayed, at the opening ceremony, emphasized strengthening Pakistan-Senegal agricultural collaborations, highlighting knowledge exchange and joint ventures.
He informed that the Pakistani experts shared insights on mango cultivation, particularly the mango small tree system.
Ms Sayed also hosted a dinner for the delegates, expressing appreciation for their contributions and welcoming future collaborations.
Prof. Dr. Ashfaq thanked Administrator General Mr. Aliou Sall and his team for their hospitality and invited them
to future activities in Multan, the spokesperson informed. The visit, part of an MoU signed last year, aimed at facilitating student exchange, faculty training, and joint research initiatives.
Discussions with EMIA officials focused on future collaborative activities, promising robust and fruitful partnerships ahead, he concluded.
