Lahore: A meeting chaired by Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) Commissioner Social Security Zulfiqar Ali Kharal reviewed the performance of the Medical Wing, particularly the functioning of Manga Social Security Hospital, here on Tuesday.
The Commissioner was briefed on the hospital’s performance following its transfer from the Health Management Company to Punjab Social Security.
The meeting was informed that the hospital’s overall performance had improved after the transfer, with notable improvement in outpatient department (OPD) services, laboratory testing and the referral system.
Commissioner Zulfiqar Ali Kharal said the performance score of Manga Social Security Hospital had improved from 37 to 67 points. He added work on establishing the PESSI School of Nursing at Manga Social Security Hospital was progressing rapidly.
The Commissioner said quality healthcare facilities were being provided to workers at Social Security hospitals, while modern reforms were also being introduced in the PESSI health sector to further improve healthcare services.
