Sargodha: A modern X-ray facility and operation theatre for the diagnosis and treatment of livestock were inaugurated at the Civil Veterinary Hospital, Noori Gate, Sargodha. Parliamentary Secretary for Livestock Punjab Sardar Asim Sher Maken, who attended the ceremony as chief guest, inaugurated the facilities and inspected the veterinary healthcare services available at the hospital.
Director General Livestock Extension Syed Nadeem Badr, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Divisional President Chaudhry Shah Nawaz Ranjha, MPA Haji Ikram-ul-Haq, PML-N Sargodha President Chaudhry Abdul Razzaq Dhillon and others were also present.
Officials of the Livestock Department briefed the parliamentary secretary on the newly established facilities, their operational procedures and the services being provided for the diagnosis and treatment of animals.
Addressing the ceremony, Sardar Asim Sher Maken said the Punjab government was taking practical measures to promote the livestock sector, improve the welfare of livestock farmers and provide them with modern veterinary healthcare facilities in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision.
He said livestock health was directly linked to the economic stability of livestock farmers and the province’s agricultural economy. “The establishment of modern X-ray and surgical facilities in Sargodha was an important step towards achieving these objectives”, he added.
The parliamentary secretary said the X-ray facility would enable timely diagnosis of bone fractures and other medical conditions in animals, while the operation theatre would provide essential surgical treatment.
