Quetta: A heart-wrenching tragedy struck Kali Mengal in Noshki, where terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan stormed a home and brutally killed a mother and daughter, said Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed.
Addressing a press conference accompanied by Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani and Ghazala Gola, she said that the inhuman act has plunged the entire province into grief, drawing strong condemnation from political leaders, parliamentarians, and civil society, who described the killings as barbaric and an assault on peace-loving citizens of Balochistan.
Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed, identified the victims as Bibi Hanifa, a government employee, and her daughter Hafsa, who were targeted simply for living peacefully as ordinary citizens.
She noted that the family had previously suffered during floods, and their home was rebuilt with the support of the Pakistan Army.
Meena Majeed strongly condemned the act, declaring that such terrorists are not well-wishers of the Baloch nation and that their actions expose their ‘ugly face’ to the world.
Raheela Hamid Durrani and Ghazala Gola, also denounced the killings in the harshest terms.
Durrani described the incident as ‘barbaric and beyond comprehension in the 21st century, ‘ while Gola stressed that those responsible must be punished and that silence in the face of such atrocities is unacceptable.
Both leaders emphasized that women’s rights are protected under religion and international law, making the attack even more reprehensible.
Meena Majeed further stated that the murder of Bibi Hanifa and Hafsa represents an attack on all peace-loving and progressive citizens of the province. She urged the public to play their role in identifying terrorists, criticized human rights organizations for their silence, and vowed that the government and security forces are actively pursuing operations against Fitna al-Hindustan.
‘This incident shows that ordinary Baloch citizens, especially women, are now in the crosshairs of terrorists, ‘ Meena Majeed said, adding that the people of Balochistan will not allow enemies of peace to succeed.
She called for collective resistance against terrorism and reaffirmed that the province will defeat those working against peace and stability.
