PESHAWAR:Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Ameer Muqam Thursday expressed resentment over Imran Khan’s statement against integrity of the country and demanded a court trial against him under the treason act.
In a media statement here, he said the statement and intentions of Imran were tantamount to treason and he must be tried for it, adding that the judiciary should take immediate action against Imran’s hatred speeches against the state institutions.
“From the very first day I was demanding Governor Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Imran was planning an attack on the federation.” Muqam said, adding Imran was involved in conspiracy against the security and integrity of Pakistan and he must be stopped under the law and constitution.
The nation had now seen and understood that Imran Khan received billions of rupees from anti state forces to plot conspiracy against the integrity of the country and defame the national institutions, he alleged.
The State Bank, he said, had presented a record that Imran received money from 350 foreign companies. He demanded that the record of bank accounts of Imran Khan and four workers of PTI Central Secretariat should be acquired from America, England and other countries.
Muqam further said that Pakistan was not the personal property of Imran Khan rather it was the country of 220 million people. It was the land of martyrs and protected by the Ghazis, he remarked.
Muqam said all the conspiracies of Imran Khan would be thwarted with iron hands, adding that Pakistan was made by the Muslim League and PML-N would defend its sovereignty.
He also urged the people to denounce Imran’s anti-Pakistan statements and activities.
