Lahore:The Lahore district administration has launched the Negran Municipal Issues Reporting System to improve urban service delivery and ensure prompt redress of public grievances.
The digital initiative was reviewed during a high-level meeting chaired by Lahore Division Commissioner Numan Yousaf. He appreciated Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Ejaz and the district administration for successfully launching the portal.
Officials briefed the meeting that the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has initiated work to expand the system to all districts of the province.
DC Lahore Muhammad Ali Ejaz said the portal would help ensure prompt resolution of issues including sanitation, open manholes, illegal encroachments and non-functional streetlights. He said bringing municipal service-providing agencies onto a single digital platform would improve coordination and service standards, while citizen feedback would help further improve performance.
Commissioner Numan Yousaf said digital monitoring through the system would strengthen accountability and ensure time-bound service delivery. He added that, under the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the system is being expanded across the province.
Senior officials from the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) and PITB also attended the meeting.
