Newly Elected Chief Minister meets caretaker CM

Astore: Newly elected Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Amjad Hussain Advocate, held farewell meeting with Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Yar Muhammad at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Gilgit.

The meeting focused on the overall administrative situation in the province, government affairs, ongoing development projects, and matters related to the orderly and peaceful transfer of power.

During the meeting, both leaders agreed that public interest would remain the foremost priority. They emphasized ensuring the continuity of development projects, promoting effective governance, strengthening a transparent administrative system, and improving the delivery of public services through coordinated efforts.

Minister for Forests Hafiz Sharafatuddin was also present on the occasion. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to taking all possible measures for the development of Gilgit-Baltistan, the welfare of its people, and the strengthening of public institutions to ensure that the province’s progress continues uninterrupted.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, during which the caretaker government conveyed its best wishes to the newly elected government.

The participants described the constitutional, democratic, and peaceful transfer of power as a reflection of strong democratic traditions and expressed hope that the new government would take effective steps to fulfill the expectations of the people
