Islamabad: Coordinator to the Prime Minister, Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan, on Monday stated that no one would be allowed to block roads in the wake of protests, adding that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) intentions to seek the release of its jailed founder through violent based protests had no legal or moral basis.
Talking to a private news channel, he said peaceful protest was a fundamental right of every citizen, but protests that created unrest and disrupted daily activities were not supported anywhere.
He stressed that the government would take all possible measures to ensure public safety and the uninterrupted continuation of daily life, business and other activities.
He added that the PTI founder was incarcerated in connection with cases registered against him.
