Sanghar: Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Sara Javed has stressed the need for coordinated efforts by all stakeholders to eradicate polio and urged parents to cooperate with vaccination teams visiting their homes.
She was speaking at a review meeting on the Sub-National Immunisation Days (SNIDs) and the upcoming anti-polio campaign scheduled to be held from Sept 21 to 24.
Ms Javed directed health and other concerned officials to ensure effective monitoring of the campaign and make every possible effort to reach every child under the age of five.
‘Everyone must play an active role in the fight against polio to ensure a healthy future for our children,’ she said, urging parents to ensure that their children under five received the anti-polio drops during the campaign.
District Health Officer Dr Farooq briefed the meeting on preparations for the campaign and said all necessary arrangements had been completed.
All assistant commissioners and officials, including Dr Didar, N-Stop, Bilal Ahmed, Aftab Ahmed and Dr Hina Shabbir, attended the meeting.
The deputy commissioner directed all relevant departments to work in coordination and ensure achievement of the campaign’s targets.
