Rawalpindi: The Lawmakers from Rawalpindi have hailed the defence agreement signed between Pakistan. Saudi Arabia and Turkiye in Makkah Mukarramah as a landmark development. saying it would deepen defence cooperation. mutual trust and unity among the three brotherly Muslim countries while strengthening peace and stability across the region.
Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Division and President of the PML-N Rawalpindi Division. Malik Abrar Ahmed. said the agreement was far more than a defence pact. describing it as the beginning of a new era of trust. unity and cooperation among the three nations.
He observed that Saudi Arabia’s effective leadership. Turkiye’s advanced defence technology and Pakistan’s professional and battle-tested armed forces. taken together. would further reinforce regional peace and stability.
Engineer Raja Qamar-ul-Islam said the enhanced defence cooperation reflected the historic and fraternal bonds linking the three countries. adding that it would open new avenues for safeguarding shared interests and promoting regional peace and security.
Shazia Rizwan termed the pact a significant example of unity and cooperation among Muslim countries. saying that strengthened ties among the three states would boost people-to-people friendship as well as regional stability.
Asma Naz Abbasi welcomed the new chapter of defence cooperation established on the sacred soil of Makkah Mukarramah. saying unity. brotherhood and mutual cooperation among Muslim nations were the need of the hour. and the agreement represented a meaningful step in that direction.
Malik Mansoor Afsar said the arrangement would allow the three countries to draw effectively on their combined defence capabilities and experience. adding that such cooperation could play a vital role in ensuring regional peace. security and stability.
Shaukat Bhatti said Pakistan’s longstanding fraternal relationship with Saudi Arabia. coupled with its deep friendship with Turkiye. lent particular significance to the agreement. noting that it would help strengthen the spirit of unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah.
Rifat Abbasi called the agreement a positive and far-reaching development. saying that extending cooperation among the three countries into defence. economy. technology and other sectors could open new avenues for shared development and prosperity.
The lawmakers lauded the leadership and diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir. affirming that strong ties with brotherly Muslim countries remained a key pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
They prayed that the agreement would serve to promote peace. security and mutual cooperation in the region and beyond. and further cement the bonds of brotherhood among Pakistan. Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.
