Islamabad

Islamabad:Pakistan on Tuesday welcomed the World Bank Group’s efforts during FY2026 to mobilize private capital for development, its commitment to work faster and more closely with countries and investors.

‘These efforts reflect the importance of mobilizing greater private investment to support sustainable human capital development, create better livelihoods and strengthen economies that create opportunities for prosperous growth,’ the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

Pakistan, it said, remained firmly committed to strengthening the business environment, ensuring policy predictability, improving the investment climate and advancing reforms to support private sector-led growth.

The ministry said Pakistan valued its partnership with the World Bank Group and looked forward to further deepening cooperation to unlock new investment and mobilize greater private capital.

It said the enhanced cooperation would help accelerate economic growth, support job creation and translate development opportunities into tangible outcomes for the people.
