Islamabad:The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has said that the degrees of successful candidates in the 2020 and 2025 elections were verified from the respective universities in accordance with the prescribed procedure, after which the successful candidates were formally notified as members of the Pakistan Bar Council.
According to a statement issued by the PBC, the Returning Officer/Attorney General for Pakistan in the 2020 elections got the degrees of the elected members verified directly from the respective universities soon after the elections.
Upon completion of the verification process, the successful candidates were formally notified as members of the Pakistan Bar Council by the Returning Officer/Attorney General.
The PBC said the Returning Officer/Attorney General for the 2025 elections also initiated the process of verifying the degrees of the elected members. Although the degrees of some members had already been verified during the previous elections, their degrees were again sent to the respective universities as well as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for verification.
The statement said the respective universities verified the degrees of the PBC members, including Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon. After the degrees were confirmed to be genuine and authentic, the elected members were formally notified.
The Pakistan Bar Council clarified that the degrees of all successful candidates, including Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, were verified through the respective universities in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
