MUZAFFARGARH:A meeting of Inter-religious Peace Committee has reviewed the schedule of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) programmes, which are being arranged with religious zeal and zest across the district.
Presiding over a meeting here on Friday, ADC Revenue Tanveer Murtaza said the event of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday would be celebrated with utmost respect and devotion.
He said various ceremonies in connection with the event were already underway in educational institutions.
He informed that the district administration was adopting practical measures for improving sanitation situation and ensuring a clean environment.
Tanveer Murtaza directed the staff concerned to start visiting various routes of Milad processions on regular basis.
General Secretary Church of Pakistan Rohail Farooq said they were shoulder to shoulder with Muslim brethren for organising the event in peaceful manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Abdul Mabood said no religion in the world preaches violence.
President Traders Association Ameer Hassan and Member Peace Committee Akhtar Bukhari assured that they would join hands with all sects to maintain peace in society.
