LAHORE: The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has successfully mapped over 2.5 million land parcels, 688 housing societies, and 3270 square meters of state land in three districts as part of an urban land computerization project aimed at enhancing access to land records.
These achievements were reported to The World Bank’s mission, emphasizing the project’s foundation on past experiences and technological advancements. Through the PULSE project, a geo-portal has been established, and fees for agricultural land transfer have been eliminated.
The urban land computerization initiative involves compiling and digitizing records, creating computerized maps, and integrating urban land information with aerial maps, mirroring the process used for rural land records.
