Sialkot: Sialkot police on Friday traced out a suspect by solving the dilemma of murder of a woman in the village of Chak Sanda in the limits of Sadr Police Station, a police release said.
SHO Sadr Police Station, Owais Arshad and his team traced and arrested suspect Umar through an effective investigation, police spokesperson said.
Bite marks and signs of resistance on the suspect’s hands and arms proved to be a crucial lead in the investigation. According to the initial investigation, the suspect was a friend of the victim’s son. The suspect allegedly took the woman to the fields on the pretext of looking for her son. The suspect allegedly murdered the woman when she resisted his attempted sexual assault. According to the initial investigation, the suspect allegedly pressed the woman’s throat and mouth before concealing her body in the field. Solid evidence and effective prosecution will help ensure justice for the victim’s family, DPO Dost Muhammad.
