Islamabad

Islamabad:Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Secretary General Muhammad Humayun Khan has stressed that dialogue and political reconciliation are essential for ensuring political stability in the country, urging all political parties to prioritise national interests over personal and party considerations.

In a statement, he said the PPP remained committed to democracy, the supremacy of the Constitution and the stability of parliamentary institutions, emphasising that political issues should be resolved through Parliament and the negotiating table rather than confrontation.

Humayun Khan said the country could no longer afford further political tensions and called on the political leadership to demonstrate responsibility, restraint and a constructive approach to addressing national challenges.

He urged all political parties to play their role in promoting political harmony and strengthening democratic institutions, stressing that meaningful dialogue was the only way forward for resolving political differences.

The PPP leader also called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to play an effective role in parliamentary forums and participate constructively in political negotiations to help strengthen the democratic process.

He said that under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP was actively working towards strengthening democracy and promoting political reconciliation in the country.

Humayun Khan reaffirmed that the PPP believed in playing a constructive political role for resolving national issues, fostering political harmony and ensuring the stability of democratic institutions.
