Peshawar: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Secretary General Muhammad Humayun Khan has called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to abandon long march politics and focus on resolving public issues, saying the country could not afford further political instability and confrontation.

Reacting to PTI’s long march strategy, Humayun Khan urged political leaders to prioritise national interests over personal and party agendas and contribute to political stability, democratic continuity and the resolution of public grievances.

He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were facing multiple challenges, including law and order concerns, economic hardship and unemployment, which required the provincial government’s immediate attention.

The PPP leader stressed that provincial resources should be utilised for public welfare and that peace, stability and relief for citizens should remain the government’s foremost priorities.

He urged the political leadership to adopt a constructive approach and focus on practical measures to address the problems confronting the people instead of engaging in confrontational politics.
