DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Zafarul Islam has underlined the need for accelerating the ongoing drive against power theft and defaulters. He expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review the progress of Pesco’s recovery drive in the area.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, SE PSCO, District Police Officer, TMA, District Health Officer, Sports, Education, Irrigation, Food, Forest and other departments.
In the meeting, a detailed briefing was given to Commissioner Dera regarding the results of the drive and other relevant issues. Commissioner Dera Division Zafarul Islam directed all the departments concerned to ensure effective cooperation with PESCO to ensure timely payment of arrears from the defaulters.
He further said that the task teams were successfully moving ahead with their operations to overcome the issue of electricity theft and that was why the drive was yielding results, he added.
