Lahore: The Punjab University’s Institute of Education and Research (IER) organised a Mehfil-e-Milad Mustafa here on Wednesday.
Director IER Prof Dr Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry, Chairperson Department of Secondary Education Dr Abida Nasreen, faculty members and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Naats in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were recited, expressing devotion and love for the Prophet.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Dr Abdul Qayyum said that success in this world and the hereafter can only be achieved by following the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said the Seerah and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provide the best example for all humanity.
The newly admitted students were also welcomed at the ceremony. Prayers were offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, security and prosperity of Pakistan, and a bright future for the students.
