Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ejaz visited Government Hospital Ghaziabad and inspected its various wards, pharmacy and medicine store to review healthcare facilities and availability of medicines, here on Wednesday.
Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore Kaleem Yousaf and Assistant Commissioner Shalimar Rabia Altaf accompanied him.
The DC inspected the stock of anti-snake venom injections, anti-rabies vaccines and other essential medicines and also checked their expiry dates. He directed the hospital administration to provide equal and quality medical facilities to all patients without discrimination and ensure uninterrupted availability of medicines. He also ordered the pharmacy staff to keep all medicine records updated and transparent, directing the administration to ensure proper patient care and medical assistance. He said negligence in patient care would not be tolerated.
Meanwhile, the DC also visited Shalimar Tehsil and inspected deep-cleaning and road-washing activities in Ghaziabad and adjoining areas.
The DC was briefed on sanitation arrangements and road-washing activities in the area. He reviewed the ongoing deep-cleaning operations on roads and in neighbourhoods. He directed the officials concerned to accelerate deep cleaning on all major roads and in residential areas and ensure washing of roads and footpaths to eliminate dust.
The DC directed officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness and said negligence in garbage lifting would not be tolerated. He said all available resources were being utilised to improve municipal services in the city.
