Hyderabad: Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah, organized a global symposium on Digital Twins and modern immersive technologies on Monday, bringing together experts, researchers, university faculty members, and students from within the country and abroad.
Participants discussed the use, research, and prospects of advanced technologies including Digital Twins, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things. The symposium was held at the Central Library Auditorium of Quaid-e-Awam University under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Saleem Raza Samo.
VC Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Prof Dr Ali Akbar Siyal, also participated in the event. On the occasion, VC Quaid-e-Awam University Prof Dr Saleem Raza Samo said that in view of rapid development of modern technologies, promoting research and advanced skills in universities has become an essential need.
VC Peoples Medical University Prof Dr Ali Akbar Siyal said that education and research in modern technologies play an important role in preparing students and researchers for the rapidly changing technological world.
Symposium organizer Prof Dr Pardeep Kumar said that under the project framework, an MS program in Immersive Technologies and Digital Twins has also been launched at the university.
He added that the global symposium would serve as an important platform for knowledge exchange, research, and international collaboration regarding future of immersive technologies and their applications in education, industry, health, engineering, and other sectors.
