Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam formally inaugurated the Bllitang Nari Kakk Road, a 34 million-rupee project and inspected ongoing work on the Gandiali Dam Road and Mandoni Khalwat Dam in Kohat district.
Minister Aftab Alam, accompanied by former Gumbat Tehsil Chairman Sajid Iqbal and local Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers, said the newly completed road would improve access for residents of the area.
Local elders said the road had remained in poor condition for about two decades, describing its rehabilitation as a long-standing demand of the community.
Residents thanked the provincial government, Alam, National Assembly Member Shehryar Afridi, Iqbal and local workers for the project.
During his visit to the Gandiali Dam Road and the under-construction Mandoni Khalwat Dam, officials from the Irrigation and Small Dams departments briefed the Minister on construction progress, targets and the expected benefits of the projects.
Officials told completion of the Gandiali Dam Road would improve access for local residents and visitors, while the Mandoni Khalwat Dam would increase water storage capacity and help improve irrigation resources for agricultural land.
Provincial Minister directed the relevant authorities to accelerate construction, meet project completion targets and maintain construction standards.
Former Village Chairman Akhtar Jameel, Sanaullah and Inam Khan were also present during the visit.
