Peshawar: Heavy rainfall in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa temporarily disrupted electricity supply on 83 feeders in the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) region on Tuesday.
According to a PESCO spokesperson power supply was affected on 19 feeders in Peshawar, 13 in Khyber, nine in Swabi, 29 in Mardan and 13 in Swat.
Electricity supply to all remaining feeders was continuing normally, the spokesperson added.
On the directives of PESCO Chief Akhtar Hameed Khan, operational teams remained on high alert to deal with any disruption and restore power supply at the earliest.
Repair and restoration work had already started in areas where rainfall had stopped, while work in other affected areas would begin as soon as the rain subsided, the spokesperson said.
Consumers could call the PESCO helpline at 118 to register electricity-related complaints.
