Rana Sanaullah criticizes PTI, KP Govt over lack of progress in governance, security

Islamabad

Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Friday criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government over what he described as a lack of progress in improving governance and security in the province.

Speaking to a private television channel, he said KP was facing serious terrorism-related challenges and urged the PTI leadership and provincial government to extend full cooperation to the federal government for the complete eradication of terrorism.

He emphasized that provincial authorities must implement federal counter-terrorism policies, adding that governance and security challenges in KP required urgent attention from the provincial leadership.

He said the provincial government should focus on strengthening and equipping the civil administration to address security-related issues effectively.

Responding to a question about long march, he urged the PTI leadership to prioritize resolving public issues in the province instead of planning a long march or promoting political agitation. He warned that the government would not allow anyone to create a law and order situation through a long march or protest demonstrations.

Responding to another question, he said dialogue remained the best option for resolving political differences. He added that the government had offered talks to the opposition to settle political disputes.
