Sialkot: Rescue 1122 Sialkot organised awareness walks, camps and information booths across the district to mark International Youth Day and sensitise young people about emergency safety, first aid and social responsibility.
According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the activities were held on the directions of Secretary Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) and under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal. Awareness camps were also established at educational institutions to brief students about the Rescue Scout App and encourage them to join Rescue Scouts.
Engineer Naveed Iqbal said trained and responsible youth could play a vital role in building a safer society. He urged young people to acquire first aid and emergency response skills and actively participate in Rescue 1122 community safety programmes.
