Review Does Not Mean Denying Health Facilities to PTI Founder, Says Tariq Fazal

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said on Wednesday that the government’s decision to seek a review did not mean it was denying health facilities to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

Speaking to a private news channel, the minister said the government was also concerned about the health of the incarcerated PTI leader. He said his sister had recently met Imran Khan and was satisfied with his health condition.

Dr Chaudhry said Imran Khan had been taken to hospital several times whenever medical attention was required, with security and other necessary arrangements provided.

He said the government believed in the supremacy of law and would implement court decisions in letter and spirit.

Regarding the issue of provinces, he said discussions were currently taking place at the academic level. He stressed the need to ensure that the benefits of national resources reach the public directly.
